ABOUT THE POEM: This concluding statement serves as the speaker's final, definitive philosophical and aesthetic defense, directly addressing critics who mistake the work's raw, unrhymed intensity for "novice" writing. The speaker rejects the role of the "literary magician" and establishes the Ronie Dinosaur style as an act of Necessity and Integrity rather than choice. The core argument is the prioritization of Truth over Beauty. The speaker asserts that his writing is not designed to be "workshop poetry" but a "surgical transcript"—a man thinking out loud, "bleeding, analysing, still breathing." This style is his signature and his brand, reflecting the fractured, intense, and honest state of his mind. He defines his method as driving "lived truth straight into your chest—not sharp like a dagger, but heavy like the years that made it." The deliberate lack of traditional literary flow (rhythm, rhyme, soft imagery) is a conscious choice to make the consumption of the work difficult, forcing the reader to engage with the sheer weight of the underlying psychological and philosophical reality. The defense climaxes in a philosophical reversal of traditional poetic expectations: The Critique of Rhyme: Rhyme is viewed as a form of anesthetic. When lines rhyme, the psychological and philosophical weight "slips in smoothly." This smoothness, for the speaker, is a lie—it sanitizes the chaotic reality of human suffering. The Virtue of Watching: The speaker's consciousness functions as a detached observer: "My consciousness doesn't push. It watches. And in that watching, I stay original. I keep character." The unrhymed, broken rhythm is the direct sound of this raw observation, proving the writer's integrity by refusing to interfere with the truth. The Mathematical Defense: The comparison to mathematics is the final, ultimate defense: "Mathematical equations don’t rhyme, but what they tell of the world does." This elevates the Ronie Dinosaur project from mere poetry to a system of objective, universal truth. By grounding his style in the Shiva Archetype (where the "dirt isn't fashion, it's style, it's necessity"), the speaker successfully transforms the critique of his craft into evidence of his profound philosophical commitment, confirming his identity as an Original voice that is Still Walking.

Ronie Dinosaur Chapter 17 – Author Statement

I’m not a literary magician pulling silk scarves out of my sleeve.
I’m a man thinking out loud-
bleeding,
analysing,
still breathing.

That’s my signature.
That’s the brand.
That’s the spine of Ronie Dinosaur.

I don’t paint blue skies
or red roses in soft pink hands.
No little girl skipping to Disneyland.
No Halloween parade.

I drive lived truth straight into your chest-
not sharp like a dagger,
but heavy like the years that made it.

Until you know
where Shiva comes from
and where Shiva is going,
he will always look like
a snake-charmer who fell into his own pit,
a banjara sinking in the mud he walks on.

That dirt isn’t fashion.
It’s style.
It’s necessity.
It’s what he’s made of.
It’s what he is.

It is what it is, and what isn’t, isn’t.

Want to understand?

People keep mistaking simplicity for weakness.

But here’s the funny thing:
when two lines rhyme,
the reader suddenly looks inside himself-
the light of awareness,
the weight of psychology,
the spark of philosophy-
it all slips in smoothly.

My consciousness doesn’t push.
It watches.
And in that watching,
I stay original.
I keep character.

Mathematical equations don’t rhyme,
but what they tell of the world does.

Philosophy is a temple, they say,
and poetry is the goddess.
Well, here I am the philosopher,
and the truth of my heart is its beauty.

I am Original.

I am Ronie Dinosaur.

Still walking.
