When two lines rhyme, the reader begins to look within-
guided by awareness, the weight of psychology,
and the meaning drawn from the wonder of philosophy.
My consciousness doesn’t interfere; it observes.
And in that act, I remain original. I have character.
ABOUT THE POEM: Many readers assume poetry must rhyme or display elaborate linguistic techniques to be considered skilled. This assumption often leads them to overlook writing that chooses clarity over ornamentation. Simplicity, however, is not a sign of inexperience. It is a deliberate artistic choice. When a poet removes decorative layers, the core thought becomes exposed, demanding more precision, more honesty, and more awareness. The lines I write come from observation rather than performance. They do not aim to impress with sound patterns but to express the internal movement of thought. Poetic depth does not arise from rhyme but from the minds and experiences that shape the words. When two lines rhyme, the effect can guide a reader inward, but meaning and insight are ultimately carried by awareness, psychology, and personal reflection. My writing avoids unnecessary interference. I let the consciousness behind the words observe rather than manipulate. This allows the work to remain original and aligned with my character. What may seem “easy” on the surface often involves the hardest discipline: keeping language direct, sincere, and free from noise. Simplicity is not a concession; it is a style built on clarity and intent.
