Nature rewards them because they cooperate with it.
Their meaning-making is adaptive. Pain is translated into story because story preserves cohesion. Story becomes teaching because teaching sustains groups. Teaching becomes influence because influence maintains continuity. Solar strength is legitimate, but it is contextual. It flourishes where ecosystems-natural or social-are intact.
